I am appalled by the way Very (Shop Direct Finance) treats its customers. Despite providing irrefutable evidence, including their own internal email from November 2025 confirming my account is in good standing, they have wrongly referred me to a debt collection agency (Moorcroft).
Even after escalating this to the Executive Team, I was personally promised a resolution within 72 hours. Instead of fixing their administrative error, they broke that promise and told me to wait another 56 days while they 'investigate.' In the meantime, they are actively damaging my credit file and causing me severe physical distress and health issues due to the stress. This is a blatant breach of the FCA Consumer Duty. They ignore evidence, break promises, and show zero empathy for the harm they cause.
I have already escalated this to the Financial Ombudsman and the CEO. Avoid this company at all costs if you value your credit rating and your health.

There’s nothing to read. You went from November 2025, in good standing, to April 2026 in collections.
No in between or dates when things started to go south, no “I have proof of payments December through March”, no mention of a request by you asking for another good “account standing” letter to see if not what are their reasons. You go straight to April 2026.
You don’t state anything ;(payments, late payments) that is recent.
If there is nothing to read then please find someone else to annoy. I will explain to you only once even though I dont really want to.
I have a payment confirmation of every single payment I made, there isn't a single missed payment, I haven't received any letter saying that my account is in arrears (because it isn't), not a letter of them passing my account to Moorcroft, no communication from their side. I was making payments on time so I didnt have any reason to worry about my account. Only last week when I tried to order something and my order was cancelled I found out after I called them that my account is with Moorcroft and not Very anymore. When I asked for a reason I was told that they cannot provide me with any information.
It was a shock for me.
I still dont know what is happening because instead of theirs promise that they will sort things out within 72 hours, they suddenly turned around and said that they will reply within 56 days. Hope this will clear out your worries.

I’m NOT worried but wondered what the correlation was with no explanation, yet claims of breach of duty being made. Instead of getting defensive, take it as lesson learned that the company’s rep that would have read your post would have had the same questions.
